"It's delicious to be on the receiving end of Evangeline's work. Her presence is the sweetest, simplest, purest thing. In a safe container, she creates expansive spaciousness for going deep.”

“You touch with kind and powerful words the ordinary pain of everyday and extra heavy days alike.”

in the words of a recent personal retreat participant:
“The retreat facilitated by Evangeline at Light on the Hill was one of the most special experiences of my life thus far. I hold it very near and dear to my heart, and whenever I think back on it, I am filled with warmth and gratitude.
My time spent there was allocated between sessions with Evangeline and solo time in the cabin & out in nature. Both were equally healing and transformative. The time with Evangeline was spent going deep into thoughts and traumas that have haunted me for most of my life. In that time and space, I was able to say things out loud that I’ve never been able to speak about with anyone. The compassion she had towards my innermost deep, dark secrets was unparalleled. The weight I felt lifted off my shoulders after each session provided me with a sense of ease & lightness that I was able to bring home with me. In addition to this, she facilitated very soothing silent meditation sessions during which I felt so safe and able to just let go.
The grounds at Light on the Hill complimented my time with Evangeline perfectly. I wandered around like a kid in a candy store, just in awe of the beauty and stillness surrounding me. Back at my cabin, I enjoyed the process of lighting fires in the wood burning stove and the calming energy of just sitting quietly in nature.
Evangeline’s presence, understanding, warmth and stillness helped me in ways that I will be forever grateful for. I recommend this experience to everyone, especially if you’re feeling called to nature and stillness.”

The container of Retreat:
Retreat is an ancient method to facilitate deep inward growth and insight. There are time tested guidelines of retreat that are used to create a container that the soul intuitively recognizes as a call to awaken. Here are some of these guidelines.
Time is spent in meditation, walking, dancing, journaling, singing, chanting, and prayer.
All distractions are left at home - electronic devices, books, music, communicating with the outside world, email, texting, social media, and work.
Time is taken to put all affairs in order before you go on retreat so that you do not need to communicate with anyone while away. You can provide people with my contact and I will receive communication from them and pass it on to you.
I trust absolutely in stillness and silence, and love to abide in that quiet, open, listening place where the deepest answers and truth are revealed. I invite you there, and I hold the intention of creating a space where this deep listening is facilitated.
— Evangeline
"Evangeline offers us a profound link between the body and the mind by creating a space for both to be voiced and healed. That intimate, safe space invites the acknowledging of our confusion and grief, then its letting go, empowering a loving embrace of the abandoned parts of us."
